A
national awareness campaign for Irwin Mitchell Solicitors
The
Brief
Pure
PR was tasked with raising public awareness and awareness among former
miners of the little-known condition known as Vibration White Finger (VWF)
so that all miners affected by the disease knew they could claim compensation
before the deadline expired. We also worked to channel enquiries from
potential claimants across the UK to the VWF Litigation Group telephone
helpline.
The
Solution
A
media blitz in all national and local media on the day of the High Court
judgment. Pure PR ran a press room before during and after the judgment
fielding media calls, setting up local stories etc.
Did
it work?
Extensive
press coverage across all sectors of the media put the landmark judgment
firmly on the news agenda. The VWF Litigation Group telephone helpline
took some thousands of phone calls from potential claimants in the week
of the High Court judgment. Pure PR won the PR Week Healthcare Campaign
of the Year Award for this campaign.
